Frequently asked questions
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 4:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am. If you need a different time, message us before you arrive and we'll do our best to help.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel up to 7 days before arrival for a full refund. Cancellations made later than that aren't refundable.
Can I bring my boat?
Yes, small boats are welcome, however parking is on the grass. Let us know when you book please? There is a local boat washing station. Or, if you want to wash your boat on site, there may be a $120 fee to refill the raintwater catchment tank, prior to the next guest(s) arrival. (Especially if in summer, if no rain is forcast).
What do I do if there is a power outage?
Look if the other houses on the street have their power out too. If so, there is an outage in the area and the power providers will already be working to repair the outage quickly. If the other houses have power, check if you have multiple appliances running at the same time. Turn one off. Check the fuse board above the sofa by the front door in the lounge. If one of the switches has gone off. Turn it on. If that doesn't work, check the power box at the front gate of the garden. If one of the switches is off, turn it on and the power will turn back on.
What do I do if the water is off?
Turn on the tap. Open the door and stand on the deck beside the water green tank. Listen to see if you can hear if the water pump is running. It's quite noticable. If you cannot hear the pump running. Refer to the above power outage instructions. If you can hear the pump running, the power is on and there is no water, running from the tap the rain water catchment tank may be empty. This is usually checked prior to guests arrivals, however if your stay is during very dry weather or if your water consumption has been very high, the tank may be dry. Please contact us as the tank may need to be refilled.
